Fresh from a year of unbounded success in East London, where 93 Feet East was rocked to the floor each month, the Fruit Fly is branching out - and Woody's are dusting off their landing strip in preparation. Pushing out an unbeatable selection of London, and England's Rock n Roll, Electro and DJing collectives, Fruit Fly has so far been a stage for some of the best new talent around. With two floors to fill at Woody's, Promoter Oli Wilson - the original brainchild behind Fruit Fly East London - plans to continue his winning formula with a live room and a beats room, the latter to be hosted by Go Home Productions. At the inaugural West London Fruit Fly, Liverpool three-piece The Wombats will bring their much acclaimed talent to headline the band room, supported by Fruit Fly's, and Pete Townshend's, favourite rockers - The Vibrants. Lorca promise to get the night off to a explosive start with their own brand of punchy electro-punk. Mark Vidler, DJ for the Scissor Sisters and Franz Ferdinand as well as the remixer for Bowie, Blondie and The Doors, will be exclusively flexing some of his new material at Fruit Fly each month. He will be supported by the resident Beatmarket DJs with their 'In-House' mash up style, and this month Buttoned Down Disco's residents, and Time Outs 'Critics Choice', the DollyRocker DJs will be adding sleazy, glamorous rock 'n' roll to the mix.
